Who am I?
I believe good coaching sits at the intersection of head and heart, combining professional experience, curiosity and human insight.
Most of my career has been working inside complex, high-pressure professional environments across audit, risk, regulation and governance. I understand the responsibility that comes with that work, and the expectations placed on professionals operating in those environments. I also know that this can come at a cost.
Earlier in my career I experienced burnout. My instinct at the time was to push through, work longer hours with fewer boundaries. Eventually that approach caught up with me. I learned a lot about my self, recovery from burnout and how much understanding my own patterns could prevent it happening again.
Working with a coach was a turning point. For the first time I had structured space to recognise my own patterns, reflect on the systems I was operating in and draw on the resources I already had. That experience reshaped how I think about professional life, leadership and performance.
This journey ultimately led me to create Gray Space®. Today I combine my background as a Chartered Accountant with professional coaching to support professionals navigating complex careers and leadership roles. Gray Space is about finding clarity in complexity and working well.
I am originally from Wellington, where I live with my husband, son and dog. Outside of work you’ll usually find me outdoors in New Zealand’s beautiful green spaces, walking the dog, travelling or on a yoga mat.
